A total of 147 Private Equity/Venture Financing deals (pending and completed) were announced in Ireland, in the last twelve months resulting in a total deal value of over $4,364.9 million. In the LTM period, January 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $1,192.1 million, resulting in an average deal value of $99.3 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of May 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 18 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $19.2 million during that month.
Of the 147 deals, the deal secured between Starwood Capital Group Management LLC and Echelon Data Centres Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Ireland, which was valued at $962.9 million and was completed on January 11, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Partners Group AG and Version 1 Holdings Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Hg Saturn 2 Fund and InsightSoftware Inc. The Partners Group AG-Version 1 Holdings Ltd deal and the Hg Saturn 2 Fund-InsightSoftware Inc deal were valued at $862.9 million and $801.8 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between DST Global Solutions LLC; Guillaume Pousaz; J.P. Morgan Partners, LLC; Left Lane Capital; Madrone Capital Partners; Prosus NV; QED Investors, LLC-Wayflyer valued at $150.0 million, whereas the deal between Fasanara Capital Ltd.-Our Money Ltd valued at $104.1 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $2,881.7 million and accounted for nearly 66.02% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
