Of the 96 deals, the deal secured between CVC Capital Partners Asia V L.P and Try Group Co., Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Japan Business and Consumer Services sector, which was valued at $980.1 million and was completed on November 1, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development; Kyushu Electric Power Co Inc; SBI Investment Co., Ltd.; Seika Corporation; Tokyu Land Corp; Venture Lab Investment Co Ltd and Mitsui Corporation (Inactive); Terra Drone Corp, while the third-largest deal was between SUMISEI INNOVATION FUND and FamiOne, Inc. The Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development; Kyushu Electric Power Co Inc; SBI Investment Co., Ltd.; Seika Corporation; Tokyu Land Corp; Venture Lab Investment Co Ltd-Mitsui Corporation (Inactive); Terra Drone Corp deal and the SUMISEI INNOVATION FUND-FamiOne, Inc deal were valued at $70.0 million and $62.8 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between ITOCHU Corporation - Japan; Kadensa Capital; KDDI Open Innovation Fund; Keyrock Capital Management Limited; Seiga Asset Management; The Fund-Timee Inc valued at $48.2 million, whereas the deal between Chikugin Regional Revitalization Investment Limited Partnership; Denkodo Co., Ltd.; Hibisin Capital Co., Ltd.; Jins Holdings Co., Ltd.; KiSCO Co Ltd; Kyu Co., Ltd.; LIFULL Co., Ltd.; NCB Venture Fund; Nomura Office Co., Ltd.; QB Capital; Real Tech Fund; SMBC Venture Capital Co., Ltd.; Sojitz Corp; Takashimaya Co Ltd; Toyoshima Co Ltd; TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting Co., Ltd; Yokogawa Electric Corp-Japan Environment Planning Inc valued at $30.5 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $1,191.6 million and accounted for nearly 75.35% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
