Speakers
David George
David is an experienced and highly rated equity analyst from the investment banking sector. He has studied the technology, media and telecom (TMT) sector for over 25 years, having worked in both Europe and Asia. He also plays a lead role in in the delivery of custom research and advisory work and is regularly invited to speak at conferences on issues across the technology and digital industries.
Aliyah Farouk MSc
Aliyah is a Senior Medical Devices Analyst at GlobalData with a focus on Thematic Research. Her work includes comprehensive research and qualitative/quantitative analysis. She also has experience in market modeling and forecasts, especially in the Wound Care and In Vitro Diagnostics therapy areas. Prior to joining GlobalData, Aliyah worked as a Medical Engineer for the NHS where she was responsible for auditing, testing, and servicing medical equipment across several NHS Trusts. Aliyah has an MSc in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in Neurotechnology from Imperial College London.
Alison Casey
Alison is a Senior Medical Devices Analyst at GlobalData Healthcare with a focus on In Vitro Diagnostics. Her work collates information from primary participants, key opinion leaders, and secondary sources with real world data to analyze and forecast specific device markets across 39 different countries. Alison also leads the SKU data team, which comprehensively maps and analyzes US hospital purchasing data across a range of key medical device markets. Alison has a PhD from Imperial College London, and a strong history of work in oncology. Before joining GlobalData, she worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto where she established collaborations with clinical experts and industry personnel.
Kathryn (Kitty) Whitney, MSc
Kathryn is responsible for delivering all research projects within the pharma division of GlobalData. Previously, she was the Principal Analyst for the Digital Marketing Intelligence and Infectious Disease & Metabolic teams at Sociable Pharma. Kathryn’s pharmaceutical industry knowledge is comprehensive, gained from her time working within Healthcare at Home’s business strategic group, and during her time in analysis positions at Intelligentsia Worldwide and IMS Health. Prior to this, Kathryn worked within biotechnology commercialization at both UCB and Wyeth. Kathryn has an MSc in Biotechnology from University College Galway, Ireland, and a BSc in Plant and Microbial Biotechnology from University College Cork, Ireland.
Katie Page
Katie has worked at GlobalData’s Consumer Practice for nine years. She oversees all aspects of the syndicated research agenda, as well as contributing to bespoke client consulting projects. Her expertise covers primary research, consumer insights analysis, market assessment, and product innovation tracking. She has a strong background in commercial and operational functions in FMCG e-commerce, retail, and manufacturing, with a proven talent for spotting innovative and profitable opportunities. She has previously worked for Greencore PLC, Sainsbury’s and a boutique retail operations consultancy. She holds an MA from the University of Oxford.
