KIMITAKE unveils rebranded jewellery packaging

KIMITAKE, a US-based brand known for authentic handmade jewellery, has announced the launch of its newly rebranded jewellery packaging.

The new design draws inspiration from Japan's culture, showcasing traditional craftsmanship techniques that have been preserved for centuries.

The highlight of the new packaging is the Kyoto Nishijin-Ori Drawstring Bag, adorned with the Sakuragawa pattern, which features cherry blossoms on flowing water.

This traditional textile, originating from Kyoto, adds a touch of historical artistry to the packaging.

Additionally, the Kyo-Yuzen Dyeing pattern with Shippo motifs symbolises harmony and connection, further enhancing the cultural significance of the packaging.

The packaging's seal, marked with the vibrant red KIMITAKE logo, is inspired by the Japanese flag and serves as a guarantee that the package has not been opened since its sealing.

The Paulownia Box, a traditional container for precious items, is said to be another key element of the packaging update.

The choice of colours for the packaging is designed to be symbolic, with the deep purple colour 'Koki Murasaki' representing nobility and the deep green 'Chitose Midori' signifying longevity and perseverance.

The new KIMITAKE packaging will be available for all jewellery purchases made after 25 April 2024.

KIMITAKE jewellery package designer Kimio said: "Our packaging is a celebration of Japan's rich cultural heritage and our enduring commitment to craftsmanship. Each piece in the package tells a story of tradition, artistry, and beauty, capturing the spirit of Japan."
