Polish Government approves an amendment to the Act on Packaging and Packaging Waste Management

The draught, approved by the Council of Ministers on June 6, 2023, conforms Polish law to European Union solutions. It is about the EU directive on decreasing the environmental impact of some plastic products. A deposit-refund system for disposable plastic bottles up to 3 litres, reusable glass bottles up to 1.5 litres, and metal cans with a capacity of up to 1 litre will be implemented on January 1, 2025.
