Of the 1,293 deals, the deal secured between AustralianSuper Pty Ltd; Conyers Trust Company (Cayman) Limited; Global Infrastructure Management; IFM Investors Pty Ltd; QSuper Limited and Sydney Airport Holdings Limited, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Global Travel and Tourism sector, which was valued at $23,652.5 million and was completed on July 4, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Apollo Global Management Inc; VICI Properties Inc and The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort, while the third-largest deal was between Clearlake Capital Group, L.P.; Hansjoerg Wyss; Mark Walter; Todd Boehly and Chelsea FC PLC. The Apollo Global Management Inc; VICI Properties Inc-The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort deal and the Clearlake Capital Group, L.P.; Hansjoerg Wyss; Mark Walter; Todd Boehly-Chelsea FC PLC deal were valued at $6,250.0 million and $5,246.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Cascade Investment LLC-Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts valued at $2,210.0 million, whereas the deal between Blackstone Inc-VFS Global valued at $1,870.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $39,228.5 million and accounted for nearly 48.37% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, Asia-Pacific accounted for 39.25% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $31,817.7 million, which accounted for 22.90% of the total deal size on a global scale.
