A total of 104 Private Equity/Venture Financing deals (pending and completed) were announced in the Real Estate of the Europe region, in the last twelve months resulting in a total deal value of over $17,232.4 million. In the LTM period, November 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $4,900.6 million, resulting in an average deal value of $490.1 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of April 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 14 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $31.8 million during that month.
Of the 104 deals, the deal secured between Brookfield Asset Management Inc and alstria office REIT-AG, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Europe Real Estate sector, which was valued at $4,056.8 million and was completed on November 4, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Inclusive Capital Partners and Countryside Partnerships Plc, while the third-largest deal was between RE Invest Belgium SA and Befimmo SA. The Inclusive Capital Partners-Countryside Partnerships Plc deal and the RE Invest Belgium SA-Befimmo SA deal were valued at $2,405.3 million and $2,225.2 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Apollo Funds-Miller Homes Holdings Ltd valued at $1,646.9 million, whereas the deal between Swiss Life Asset Managers Limited; Vauban Infrastructure Partners-Aves One AG valued at $1,317.7 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $11,651.9 million and accounted for nearly 67.62% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Europe region accounted for 16.06% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 14.32% of the total deal size on a global scale.
