On the other hand, the month of September 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 28 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $158.5 million during that month.
Of the 219 deals, the deal secured between Agricultural Bank of China Ltd; Hang Seng Bank (China) Ltd; Mizuho Bank Ltd; MUFG Bank Ltd; Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp and Sun Hung Kai Properties (Financial Services) Limited, was the largest Debt Offering deal in the Asia-Pacific Real Estate sector, which was valued at $1,110.4 million and was completed on November 11, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank SA; DBS Bank Ltd; Malayan Banking Berhad; Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp Ltd; Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp; The Bank of East Asia Ltd and ARA Asset Management Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between DBS Bank Ltd; Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc; Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp Ltd; Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation - Japan; United Overseas Bank Ltd and Hongkong Land Holdings Ltd. The Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank SA; DBS Bank Ltd; Malayan Banking Berhad; Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp Ltd; Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp; The Bank of East Asia Ltd-ARA Asset Management Ltd deal and the DBS Bank Ltd; Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc; Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp Ltd; Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation - Japan; United Overseas Bank Ltd-Hongkong Land Holdings Ltd deal were valued at $1,000.0 million and $677.4 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Citigroup Inc; DBS Bank Ltd; Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp Ltd-Lendlease Global Commercial REIT valued at $638.7 million, whereas the deal between DBS Bank Ltd; United Overseas Bank Ltd-City Developments Ltd; MCL Land Ltd valued at $629.3 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $4,055.8 million and accounted for nearly 10.58% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 25.90% of the total Debt Offering deals done globally, and accounted for 1.60% of the total deal size on a global scale.
