India: Job Trends in the Pharmaceuticals Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Pharmaceuticals sector of India decreased by 27.05% MoM, and decreased by 37.74% since October 2023, reaching 4,286 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,165 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 15.26% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 3,754 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 23.65% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 30.21% and the number of jobs closed increased by 9.32%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 11.3%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 14.61% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 3.01%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 2,709, number of jobs closed stood at 3,441 and number of active jobs stood at 5,850.
