Romania: Job Trends in the Banking and Payments Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Banking and Payments sector of Romania decreased by 32.67% MoM, and decreased by 42.84% since October 2023, reaching 878 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 172 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 12.24% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 598 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 84.57% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 54.97% and the number of jobs closed increased by 34.99%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 23.35%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 17.01% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 10.52%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 274, number of jobs closed stood at 453 and number of active jobs stood at 1,287.
