Of the 75 deals, the deal secured between Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan and Definity Financial Corporation, was the largest Equity Offering deal in the Canada Financial Services sector, which was valued at $363.1 million and was completed on November 17, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Alameda Research and Voyager Digital Canada Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between National Bank Financial Inc and North American Financial 15 Split Corporation. The Alameda Research-Voyager Digital Canada Ltd deal and the National Bank Financial Inc-North American Financial 15 Split Corporation deal were valued at $60.6 million and $34.9 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between DMG Blockchain Solutions Inc-Brane Capital valued at $2.5 million, whereas the deal between BIGG Digital Assets Inc.-Luxxfolio Holdings Inc valued at $1.6 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $462.7 million and accounted for nearly 15.32% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
