The number of active job postings in the Business and Consumer Services sector of Spain decreased by 7.29% MoM, and decreased by 16.53% since October 2023, reaching 1,298 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 372 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 24.39% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 474 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 34.44% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 26.19% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 24.64%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 9.63%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.84% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 9%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 496, number of jobs closed stood at 591 and number of active jobs stood at 1,471.
