The company operates through four reportable business segments: AmeriGas Propane, UGI International, Midstream & Marketing, and Utilities. It sells, installs, and services propane appliances, including heating systems and propane-powered generators. Conducts propane distribution business through its operating subsidiary, AmeriGas Propane, L.P. Most important customers include residential, commercial/industrial, motor fuel, agricultural and wholesale. Markets propane and provides other services under the brand name AmeriGas, America’s Propane Company, Heritage Propane, Driving Every Day, Cynch, and Relationships Matter. Overview
It conducts business related to retail energy marketing , sells natural gas, liquid fuels and electricity to residential, commercial and industrial customers. Midstream assets comprise natural gas liquefaction, storage and vaporization facility in Temple, Pennsylvania, and propane storage and propane-air mixing stations in Bethlehem, Reading, Hunlock Creek, and White Deer, Pennsylvania. It also operates propane storage, rail transshipment terminals and propane-air mixing stations in Steelton and Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Also manages natural gas pipeline and storage contracts for UGI Utilities and Frontier Natural Gas. Develops, owns, and operates pipelines, gathering infrastructure and gas storage facilities in the Marcellus Shale region. Principal operating subsidiary is UGI Energy Services, LLC. In FY2023, the segment incurred a capital expenditure of US$130 million which grew 242.1% YoY.

Distributes LPG to retail customers throughout Europe. It operates energy marketing businesses in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the UK. Sells LPG in cylinders through retail outlets, such as supermarkets, individually owned stores, and gas stations. Principal operating subsidiaries include UGI France SAS , Flaga GmbH , UniverGas , DVEP Investeringen B.V . and AvantiGas Ltd. In FY2023, the segment incurred a capital expenditure of US$129 million, which grew 20.6% YoY.
