Mr. Tetsuo Ohkubo has been the Chairman of the bank since June 2021. Prior to this, he served as the President and Director of the group since June 2017. Prior to this, he held several positions at the group including Deputy President of from 20016 to 2017; Director and a Senior Managing Executive Officer from 2013 to 2016; and Director and Managing Executive Officer of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited and the group. Previously, he served at the positions of Managing Executive Officer, Executive Officer, and General Manager of Planning and Coordination Department at the group.

Mr. Toru Takakura has been the President and Director of the group since June 2021. Previously, he served as Executive Officer of the group. He also served as Director and Managing Executive Officer at SuMi TRUST Bank. Earlier, he held various positions in the group including Managing Executive Officer, Senior Managing Executive Officer, Head Office Executive, and General Manager.

Mr. Kazuya Oyama has been a Director and Executive Officer of the group since June 2021. He also serves as President at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited since April 2021. Prior to this, he served as Managing Executive Officer of the group. Previously, he held various positions in the group including Managing Executive Officer, General Manager of Corporate Planning, and General Manager of Human Resources Department.
