Starwood Property Trust Inc: Executives

Mr. Barry Stuart Sternlicht has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company since 2009. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Starwood Capital Group. In 2008, he founded SH Group, which the Owner and Manager of 1 Hotels brands and Baccarat Hotels & Resorts. From 1995 to 2005, Mr. Sternlicht served the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.

Ms. Rina Paniry has been the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer of the company since 2014. Prior to this, she served as the Chief Accounting Officer from 2006 to 2013 and Chief Financial Officer from 2013 to 2014 at LNR Property LLC. She also served at Deloitte and Touche for about 11 years across the real estate industry.

Mr. Andrew J Sossen has been the Chief Operating Officer of the company since 2011. He also serves as the Executive Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer, General Counsel and Secretary of the company since 2010. Prior to this, he served as the General Counsel at KKR Financial Holdings LLC and KKR Asset Management from 2006 to 2009. Mr. Sossen began his legal career at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

Mr. Mark Cagley serves as the Chief Credit Officer of the company. He joined the company in 2015. Previously, Mr. Cagley served as the Commercial Real Estate Credit Products Executive for the Eastern United States at America Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Dennis Schuh serves as the Chief Originations Officer of the company. Mr. Schuh joined the company in 2016. He also served as the Managing Director and Head of CMBS Banking/Origination at J.P. Morgan. Prior to that, Mr. Schuh also served as the Head of CMBS Capital Markets at J.P. Morgan.
