Sime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd: Executives

Ms. Renaka Ramachandran has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2011 and the Deputy Managing Director since 2020. Prior to this, she served as the Executive Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2004. Ms. Ramachandran served as Audit Associate with Raj and Associates.

Mr. Mohd Haris Mohd Arshad has been the Chief Operating Officer of the company since January 2024. He also served as the Managing Director of Sime Darby Oils. Previously, Mr. Haris served as Head of Trading & Marketing and also led the Plantation Division’s Downstream Manufacturing Division.

Ms. Leela Barrock has been the Chief Communications Officer of the company since 2021. Prior to this, she served as Governor of the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance from 2017 to 2020. Ms. Barrock also served as Associate Editor in The Edge from 2000 to 2008 and as a financial journalist from 1994 to 2000. She has more than 25 years of experience in media and communication.

Mr. Rashyid Redza Anwarudin has been the Chief Sustainability Officer of the company since 2022. Previously, he served as the Head of Group Sustainability of the company in 2020. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Sime Darby Berhad in 2014. Mr. Anwarudin has 21 years of experience in corporate and advisory roles in sustainability.

Mr. Harikrishna Kulaveerasingam has been the Chief Research and Development Officer of the company since 2018. Prior to this, he served in various positions within the company from 2012 to 2016. He has also served as Director of Research at Sime Darby Technology Centre Sdn Bhd from 2005 to 2007.
