Mr. Herbjorn Hansson has been the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of the company since 1995. He served as the Chief Economist and Research Manager of INTERTANKO from 1975 to 1980. Mr. Hansson served as the Chief Financial Officer of Kosmos/Andres Jahre during the 1980s. He founded Ugland Nordic Shipping AS (UNS) in 1989. Mr. Hansson served as the Chairman of UNS in the first phase and as the Chief Executive Officer from 1993 to 2001, when UNS was sold to Teekay Shipping Corporation (Teekay). He served as the Vice Chairman of Teekay Norway AS, until he started working full-time for Nordic American Tanker Shipping Limited in 2004. Prior to this, he was employed at Norwegian Shipowners' Association.
