Stephen Hester has been the Chairman of the bank since 2022. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Independent Director of Centrica since 2016 to 2022. Previously he served as the Group Chief Executive of RSA Insurance Group since 2014 to 2021, Director at Northern Rock, Group Chief Executive at British Land and Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Abbey National.

Mr. Jussi Koskinen has been the Chief Legal Officer of the bank since 2018 and is its Deputy Managing Director of the bank since 2019. Prior to this, he served at Nokia Group from 2014 to 2018 in various senior managerial roles including Vice President, Head of Global Corporate Legal, Vice President of Legal and Compliance, General Counsel, and Head of Global Services and Asia, Middle East and Africa. From 2010 to 2014, Mr. Koskinen served as the Head of Legal and Compliance, Asia Middle East and Africa of Nokia Solutions and Networks, Singapore. From 2007-2010, he served as the Head of Legal and Compliance, Global Services of Nokia Siemens Networks.

Ms. Christina Gadeberg has been the Chief People Officer at the bank since 2019. Prior to this, she served in multiple roles within the human resources functionality within the bank, which included, Head of Group People Business Partnering, Co-lead of Group People in 2019; Head of People to Asset and Wealth Management from 2017 to 2019; and as the Head of Human Resources, Life & Pension and Global Private Banking from 2015 to 2016. Previously, Ms. Gadeberg served as a People and Organization Partner at Novozymes from 2013 to 2014, and as a Human Resources Business Partner at Deloitte from 2012 to 2013. Before that, she served at Nordea as the Human Resources Business Partner Team Lead from 2010 to 2011; as a Human Resources Business Partner from 2000 to 2009; and as a Deputy Branch Manager, Denmark from 1998 to 2000.

Mr. Mark Kandborg has been the Chief Risk Officer of the bank since 2022. Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Head of Large Corporates and Institution of the bank in 2021. Previously, he served as the Group Chief Financial Officer and Head of the Group Finance from 2020 to 2021; Group Treasurer and Head of Group Treasury and Asset Lability Management from 2017 to 2021; and Head of Treasury, Asset and Lability Management Exposures from 2011 to 2017 respectively. During 1995 to 2011, he served in various positions in Group Investments, Group Treasury with Unibank/Nordea.

Mr. Jamie Graham has been the Chief Compliance Officer of the bank since September 2021. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Audit Executive of the bank. Previously, he held various senior positions at Barclays. Earlier, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
