Chief Financial Officer Senior ManagementMr. Sebastiaan Boelen has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2024. Prior to this he served as senior financial roles at Arrow Global, SPI Group and Black & Decker.
Linda Jonsdottir
Chief Operating Officer Senior ManagementMs. Linda Jonsdottir has been the Chief Operating Officer of Marel since March 2022. Previously, she was the Chief Financial Officer of the company from 2014 to 2022. Prior to this, Ms. Jonsdottir served as the Corporate Director of Treasury and Investor Relations of the company from 2009 to 2014. She worked in Treasury and Financing at Eimskip, Burdaras, and Straumur Investment Bank. Earlier, Ms. Jonsdottir was Director of the Icelandic Enterprise Investment Fund from 2010 to 2015.

Chief Human Resources Officer Senior ManagementMr. David Freyr Oddsson has been the Chief Human Resources Officer since 2022. Prior to this, he served as Global Head of Human Resources and Corporate Services at Straumur Investment Bank from 2006 to 2011. Earlier he served as HR consultant at Capacent for 7 years.
Arnar Thor Masson
Chairman Non Executive BoardMr. Arnar Masson has been a chairman of Marel hf since 2021. Masson is currently on the board of directors of Siminn. Masson was Chief Human Resources and Strategy Officer at Isavia. Prior to that he was an alternate director at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London. Before joining EBRD Masson worked in the Government Offices in Iceland. First as Deputy Director General in the Ministry of Finance and later as a Director-General in the Prime Minister’s Office in Iceland. From 2000-2008 Masson held an adjunct lecturer position at the Department of Political Science of the University of Iceland. Masson has no interest links with the Company’s main customers, competitors or major shareholders.
