Mr. Wade has been the Chairman of the company since 2016. He also serves as a Directors of the North Carolina State University Foundation and the Blue Ridge Conservancy. Prior to this, he served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BB&T Insurance Services, Inc. and BB&T Insurance Holdings, Inc. Mr. Reece also served as the Chairman of the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Institutes., Vice Chairman of the Foundation of Agency Management Excellence Board of Directors and a member of the Executive Committee of The Institutes (American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and Insurance Institute of America).

Ms. Marita Zuraitis has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of the company since May 2013 and its Director since September 2013. Prior to this, she served as the President of Hanover Insurance Group. She also served as a Member of Hanover’s Executive Leadership team. Previously, she served in various senior management positions at The St. Paul and Travelers Companies, USF&G and Aetna Life and Casualty.

Mr. Bret A. Conklin has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of the company since 2017. Previously, he served a Senior Vice President and Controller of the company from 2002 to 2017. Prior to this, he served as a Vice President of Kemper Insurance from January 2000 to January 2002 and Vice President and Controller of the company from July 1998 to January 2000. He also served as a Vice President and Controller of Pekin Insurance from September 1992 to June 1998. He holds seven years of public accounting experience with KPMG Peat Marwick from 1985 to 1992 and holds more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Mr. Stephen J. McAnena has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the company since May 2023. Previously, he was President of Personal Lines from February 2022 till April 2023; and President of Distribution, Life and Financial Services from July 2019 till February 2022 at Farmers Insurance. He also served as President of Business Insurance at Liberty Mutual Group from 1993 till 2018.

Mr. Donald M. Carley has been an Executive Vice President of the company since November 2019, its Chief Compliance Officer and Secretary since May 2016 and General Counsel since January 2016. Previously, he served as an Associate General Counsel at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co.
