Mr. Donald R. Horton has been the Chairman of the company since 1991. Previously, he served as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer from 1991 to 1998. Mr. Horton has been serving in the real estate and homebuilding industries since 1972 and was the founder, principal stockholder, Director and President at each of D.R. Horton's predecessor companies from 1978 to 1990.

Mr. David V. Auld has been the Vice Chairman of the company since 2023. Prior to this, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the company from 2014 to 2023. Previously, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the company from 2013 to 2014. Mr. Auld was also the Region President of the company’s homebuilding operations in Florida, North and South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama from 2005 to 2013. He was the President of the company's Orlando Division during 1988 and 2005. Earlier, he served for Texas American Bank and General Dynamics.

Mr. Paul J. Romanowski has been the Chief Executive Officer, President, and a Director of the company since 2023. Prior to this, he served as an Executive Vice President and the Co-Chief Operating Officer of the company from 2021 to 2023. Prior to this, he served as the Regional President for the homebuilding operation of the company in Florida from 2014 to 2021 and in Mid-Atlantic states from 2019 to 2021. Mr. Romanowski also served as the President of the South Florida division at the company from 1999 to 2014.

Mr. Bill W. Wheat has been an Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2003. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Vice President and Controller of the company from 2000 to 2003. He also served as the company’s Accounting Manager from 1998 to 2002; and a Director of the company from 2003 to 2011.Earlier, he served in financial planning and assistant controller positions at The Bombay Company from 1991 to 1998. Mr. Wheat was also an Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers

Mr. Michael J. Murray has been an Executive Vice President and the Chief Operating Officer of the company since 2014. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Vice President of Business Development at the company from 2012 to 2014. Mr. Murray was also the Vice President and Controller of the company from 2004 to 2012; and a Director of Internal Audit from 2002 to 2004. Earlier, he served at PricewaterhouseCoopers and several other companies in finance and accounting roles.
