Prior to this, he served as Chief Operating Officer and a member of Corporate Executive Committee in 2019. Previously, Mr. Meier served as Chief Operating Officer Europe and with the responsibility of production sites of the company in Germany, Switzerland and the UK. He also served as the head of peptide manufacturing of Peninsula Laboratories, Inc. from 2001 to 2004. He joined Bachem AG in 1993.

Prior to this, he worked as a consultant for several companies in the Life Science Industry, supporting them in specific projects like Reporting, IFRS conversion or IPO preparation and appointed as the Head of Special Finance Projects of Solvias AG in August 2018. Mr. Schaffter also served as the Head of Group Finance of Acino Group and Chief Financial Officer of Polyphor in 2016.

Chief Technology Officer Senior ManagementMr. Gunther Loidl has been the Chief Technology Officer of Bachem since 2015. Prior to this, he held various functions in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Manufacturing and Research and Development of the company. Mr. Loidl joined the company in 2000 and served as the Vice President of Research and Development of the company in 2012.
