Mr. James B Miller Jr has been the Chairman of the company since July 2019. Prior to this, he served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Southern Corp since its incorporation in 1979.

Mr. H. Palmer Proctor Jr has been the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the company and Ameris Bank since July 2019. Prior to this, he served as the President and the Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank and President of Fidelity Southern Corp. Mr. Proctor Jr occupied multiple roles at Fidelity Bank, which included Senior Vice President of retail and consumer banking, trust and investments, bank operations, and commercial banking.

Ms. Nicole S. Stokes has been a Corporate Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company since January 2018. She joined Ameris Bank in December 2010 as Controller, and served as Chief Financial Officer of Ameris Bank since June 2016. Prior to this, Ms. Stokes served as Chief Financial Officer of PAB Bankshares and Park Avenue Bank, Controller of The Bank in Birmingham, Alabama and Senior Auditor of Synovus Financial Corporation in Columbus.

Mr. James A. LaHaise III has been the Chief Strategy Officer and Corporate Executive Vice President of the company since 2018. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Banking Officer and Executive Vice President of Georgia and Alabama. Previously, Mr. LaHaise held roles at The Coastal Bank.

Mr. Jody L Spencer has been the Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President of the company since July 2019. Prior to this, he was an attorney at Rogers & Hardin LLP between March 2001 and July 2019.
