Auto: Summary Forecasts

GlobalData’s Summary Forecasts database contains data for 117 original equipment components and systems as applied to light vehicles manufactured globally. GlobalData’s component forecasts cover the myriad of components that go into making the average light vehicle and include a systems view of the autonomous vehicle market. Clients can use the data to size market opportunities and assess new technology take-up.

Our methodology involves assessing, analyzing, and forecasting light vehicle production across multiple geographies by fuel type - diesel, petrol, hybrid, EV, etc. - using source data from supplier and OEM interviews, trade associations and other industry contacts. This data is then further applied to different component and component sectors and then using proprietary information obtained from industry contacts and trade bodies is forecast year by year for six years, with spot forecasts 10 and 15 years out.
