Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) a Government of India Enterprise, is a nuclear energy company. It has a presence across the nuclear energy cycle, from siting to design, construction, operations, plant maintenance, aging management, renovation and modernization, and life extension. The company operates atomic power stations and implements atomic power projects for electricity generation. NPCIL generates power using nuclear through pressurized heavy water, light water reactor, pressurized water and boiling water reactor technologies. It is also interested in various projects under contraction and pre-project phases. The company operates plants in Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Karnataka. NPCIL is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
