NiSource Inc (NiSource) is an energy utility that distributes natural gas and generates, transmits and distributes electricity. The company produces electricity from coal, gas and hydro sources. It operates electricity transmission systems and natural gas transmission pipelines, and serves industrial, commercial, residential, wholesale, and other customers in various states in the US. The company also owns and operates Sugar Creek, coal-fired electric generating stations, combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant, and hydroelectric generating plants. NiSource also carries out wholesale and transmission transactions. The company conducts its business operations through NIPSCO and NiSource Gas Distribution Group. NiSource is headquartered in Merrillville, Indiana, the US.
