Atmos Energy Corp (Atmos Energy) is a natural gas utility that serves over 1,410 communities in eight states of the US. The company provides its services to more than three million distribution consumers and distributes natural gas that is dependable, inexpensive, efficient, and abundant. It also manages owned natural gas pipelines and storage assets. The company operates through two reportable segments: Distribution; and Pipeline and Storage. Operates under non-exclusive franchise agreements granted by the various cities and towns in its service areas Principal operating subsidiaries include Atmos Energy Holdings, Inc., Blue Flame Insurance Services, Ltd, Atmos Energy Louisiana Industrial Gas, LLC, Atmos Energy Services, LLC, and Egasco, LLC. The company also transports natural gas to third parties via distribution networks. In FY2023, the segment incurred a capital expenditure of US$1,927.1 million which grew 15% YoY.
